Every year the Lions Club of Table View seek various ways of raising funds for those less fortunate than the rest of us in our immediate community – the hearing and sight impaired are a big focus area and this year in particular, the club is drawn their attention to those in need of sight / vision repair.
Imagine spending your day in complete darkness or at best in a heavy haze where you cannot make anything but the odd shape – you and I take so much for granted – these folk hang onto every single thread of hope that they grasp at.
With this in mind, 100% of the funds that we raise from the Gala Evening of the comedy “ It runs in the Family”, staged at the Milnerton Playhouse will go to addressing this need of sight that is so desperately desired in our community.
The Milnerton Playhouse has graciously offered us this evening as a fundraiser and we appeal to you, the Cape Town folk who always give so generously, to support our cause and book your seat for the 27th November 2013 – the show is preceded by a cheese and wine.
We anticipate a great occasion.
