On 29th October, Lion Elizabeth Houston hosted an “All Thai’d Up” luncheon to raise funds for Cancer Awareness. The meal consisted of spicy sweetcorn, deep fried eggs with onion & palm sugar sauce, Tom Yom Soup (spicy & sour prawn), marinated beef with salad and a fresh fruit platter.
Sunflower bandannas were used as place mats, floral paper serviettes folded to hold cutlery and “jammer lappies” in different shades of pink.
Great fellowship, delicious food, inspiring company of great friends, colourful setting and celebrating life to the fullest with lots of clinking glasses [hic hic!!].
A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all.
We all know of someone suffering from Cancer or knew someone who succumbed to the disease.
