The Orion Centre for the disabled and in particular the children’s sector was in much need of a Fridge for their food storage. For years they have battled with a rusty old hand-me-down that did not even have shelves inside and it grieved us to witness the limitations with their old for their food storage.
The Table View Lions donated a New fridge to the Centre and the resident children exclaimed their appreciation with this photo for Lions contribution to their Centre.
The Table View Lions responsible for this project were:
– Lion Elizabeth Hucks
– Lion Het Fidler
– Lion Mal Munian

The hearing aids donation project at the Table View Lions Club, in conjunction with our twin Lions Club Frankenthal in Germany, provides needy deaf children in South Africa with new and second-hand/reconditioned hearing aids. This life changing project provides thousands of under-privileged deaf children with the opportunity to develop, and live normal lives with these essentially required hearing aids.
Since its inception in 2011 this Table View Lions Club Hearing Aid Project donated hearing aids in excess ZAR11 million ($1,1 million).
The Table View Lions project co-ordinators for this project are Gisela Weitz and Dylin Kuni.
